One row per musical group Wikidata knows, from garage bands to the Vienna Philharmonic: 85,136 groups across 239 countries and territories, walked from the full 463-class subclass tree of musical ensemble, so orchestras, choirs, duos, boy bands and string quartets ride along with a Type column saying which is which. The two dates make it a survival dataset: formation year (45,379 groups carry one) and dissolution year where the story ended, with a Still_Active flag and computed lifespans. The Beatles run their clean 1960 to 1970 decade; The Rolling Stones ship as Still_Active at 64 years and counting; the formation spikes are visible on demand (the punk years 1976-78 doubled the formation rate of the early seventies, and 1990-92 doubled punk). Around the dates sit country of origin, the city where the group formed, genres, record labels, member counts and the English Wikipedia article (60%). Coverage is the graph's, honestly: about half of all groups carry a formation year, and NA is NA. A row earns its place by being usable (a real name plus an article, a date or a genre); 41,454 bare-QID shells were dropped and the count is disclosed. Built with a 13-test acceptance suite anchored on the Beatles' decade, the undying Stones, the punk spike and the pre-1800 orchestras that prove the old institutions survived the filters.
