One row per video game Wikidata knows: 169,297 games from Pong (1972) to next year's announced releases, the largest dataset on the platform, walked from the full 878-class video-game tree with bare-triple pagination. Each game carries its release date (earliest publication, ISO with year twin), platforms, genres, developer and publisher, series membership, game modes and the English Wikipedia article. The industry's whole shape is in the release-year column: 1,904 games in the early-eighties golden age, 5,017 in the late nineties, and 29,067 in 2015-2019, the indie explosion that made more games in five years than the medium's first three decades combined (a 2-to-1 ratio the test suite enforces). 138,295 games carry release years, 13,799 belong to a named series, and the platform column spans everything from the Magnavox Odyssey to the Switch 2. A row earns its place by being usable (a real name plus an article, a year or a platform); 12,985 bare shells were dropped and disclosed.
